Dar ze Smithsonian Institution
V květnu 2019 získala knihovna dar od Paula M. Taylora, antropologa z vlivného Smithsonovského institutu, komplexu výzkumných pracovišť a muzeí, která se mohou souhrnně pochlubit třiceti miliony návštěvníky ročně. Konkrétně Taylor pracuje jako výzkumník a kurátor na Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. Je autorem či editorem řady knih a článků o etnografii, etnobiologii, lingvistické antropologii či asijském umění a kultuře. Připravil přes dvacet výstav, včetně několika virtuálních. Knihy, které knihovně daroval, jsou ale zcela materiální. Převládají mezi nimi publikace o hudbě a o kulturních dějinách řady asijských zemí, zvláště Turkmenistánu a Koreje.
