Symposium of the Slavonic Library

On the occasion of the centenary of the Slavonic Library, an international symposium entitled “Slavic Studies Librarianship and its Influence on Contemporary Public Education” will be held in Prague on 5 September 2024. The aim of this international event is to introduce the audience to important aspects of global Slavic Studies librarianship, such as the activities of professional organizations, the development of professional information gateways, the production of specialized databases, reference activities, as well as the existence of unique collections of Slavic literature.

The symposium will take place on Thursday 5 September 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in Meeting Room no. 136 of the National Library of the Czech Republic (first floor of the Clementinum building).
