- more then 5000 music manuscripts - period copies as well as autographs, mainly from the 18th, 19th and 20th century
- about 110 000 vols. of printed music from the 18th century to the present
- more than 400 letters of famous composers and musicians
- so called Mozart Memorial which was established in the library in 1837 and became the first Mozarteum in the world. It contains a valuable collection of historically significant copies and first editions of Mozart's works
- large collection of Czech and foreign language musicological literature, journals and other materials (ca 9300 v.)
- about the Holdings of the Music Department
